DECORATING A MANTLE FOR FALL

I felt like nesting today, and decided to get a jump start on my Fall decorating.
My mantle looked just awful, and if I was already cleaning it what better time to decorate?
The best part was I didn't need to buy anything, all the stuff used was either found or recycled and repurposed.
 I love the free word!

I spray painted some old vases  for more height to objects, and went out hunting to the local brush pile for greens, berries, hydrangea, and yarrow.

The leopard fabric is a curtain panel I had leftover from another project.

VINTAGE WEDDING DRESS CURTAINS

I decided after 17 years of storing my wedding dress up in the closet ,it might be time to repurpose it into something I can enjoy daily.I replaced  the white plastic shade part with a clear tablecloth protector, and used spray adhesive to attach wedding dress fabric to it. I used the pretty appliques for the front and center , and let me tell ya picture don't do it justice..they are magnificent!!!
