Christmas Home Tour 2019

Videos Below....

Who feeds the reindeer all their hay?
Who wraps the gifts and packs the sleigh?
Who's helping Santa every day?
Mrs. Santa Claus

Who keeps his red suit looking nice?
Who does he turn to for advice?
Who gives the brownies all their spice?
Mrs. Santa Claus...
She pitter-patters all around the workshop
The whole year long
Amid the happy clatter of the workshop
She sings a merry, merry Christmas song

Who reads the notes from girls and boys?
Turns in the order for their toys?
Fills every heart with wondrous joys?
Mrs. Santa Claus...

By the looks of the table the next morning, fun was had by all...

Pink Ceramic Christmas Tree ~Shabby Christmas

Ahhhh...well I got my ceramic Christmas tree...FINALLY.
I have been looking for a vintage one, but oh dear!!, they are pricey!

Soooo I found this one at Walmart for 25 bucks!...and it has a MiniMe tree that was about 7  bucks...
The thing I LOVE about these is they are battery operated, and have a built in timer..PERFECT for in the middle of a table, no cords, and I won't forget to turn it on....or off...

Now ....YES.... I did customize mine...
I added some roses I made from that baked clay, and I top coated her in a pearl finish, as well as a touch of glitter.

Dollar Tree colander/ Dollar Tree strainer Christmas decoration.

Supplies needed

~2 colanders
~1 string Christmas light with white cord for the white (green for     the black one below)
~2 yards 2 inch wide ribbon
~Embellishments (picks, twine, bells.whatever floats your boat)
~Hot glue gun
Optional:Spray paint(if doing the black one or any color you prefer)

*Use 2 strainers/ colanders...Break the handles off of them , or cut them off...I used a serrated kitchen knife, but you could use a nippers, or a dremel tool also..just be careful not to cut yourself. The ribbon will cover it, so it doesn't have to be perfect by any means.

* Put your lights in between the colanders , you can glue some to the top if you want them more       spread out.

*Glue your 2 colanders together using hot glue.

*Glue your ribbon around the handle edges.

*Make a bow for the top using leftover ribbon.

*Add embellishments.

~I used a cable tie for the top to make a hanger..looping it thru the holes in the colander . You do not need to do this if you are putting it on a tabletop.

*Plug it in and ENJOY!!

Pink Santa Mugs Shabby Chic Christmas

I found these in my mom's things after she passed...I love the size of these cups, and was unable to find any pink Santa mugs for sale..

The paint was chipping off, but there were no chips in the porcelain..

So with some patio paint, sculpey clay, and a 2 step epoxy seal coating , these will be lovely in my dining room next Christmas...I will have to hand wash them, but they are adorable...now I can pack them safely away ...

Before

Poor Santa was missing an eye....
