DOLLAR TREE CRAFTS painted eggs / beets and radishes

Ever have waaaay too many of those eggs you buy at Easter, or maybe they had bumps or dings, or maybe just outdated colors?

Don't throw them out...

You can repaint these and add a few silk greenery to the top, and use them all year round for decor...

DOLLAR TREE EASTER CRAFTS

O.k...so as some of you might know, my home is a Victorian farmhouse...no, not all that white and wood you find saturating the internet. Mine is a painted lady of sorts. She has a copper roof which is offset by her many colors of burnt orange, burgundy, green and gold.

As you might well imagine Easter and spring colors are quite the challenge for me. They do not look well against her coat of many colors. This year I decided to think out of the box on my decor. I have always loved Mackensie Childs decor, but was never willing to pay the price .

Hmmmm, well lets just see if the Dollar Tree has anything I could repaint and use...So off I went.
I found these cute little garden stakes that were the perfect size for my window boxes.

And this cute unpainted sign...
And a bunch of other stuff...

O.k....$30.00 later off I went to create...

Pink Ceramic Christmas Tree ~Shabby Christmas

Ahhhh...well I got my ceramic Christmas tree...FINALLY.
I have been looking for a vintage one, but oh dear!!, they are pricey!

Soooo I found this one at Walmart for 25 bucks!...and it has a MiniMe tree that was about 7  bucks...
The thing I LOVE about these is they are battery operated, and have a built in timer..PERFECT for in the middle of a table, no cords, and I won't forget to turn it on....or off...

Now ....YES.... I did customize mine...
I added some roses I made from that baked clay, and I top coated her in a pearl finish, as well as a touch of glitter.

Bling Pink Shabby Chic Fall Decor

SEE VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE!!CLICK PICTURE BELOW....

I really do love the fall colors...I have them in my living room and bath, but in my kitchen and dining room...Let there be Pink, Pearls and Velvet!!!
I made these adorable pink velvet pumpkins...and they were sooo easy and cheap...I will be doing a you tube video on how to make them, so check back here ....

Who has velvet sweet corn made with pearls????
I DO!!!

I made these adorable ears of corn from cream velvet and glass pearls..The husks are from real ears of corn curled with a curling iron!!

These pumpkins are just dreamy...pictures do not do them justice...I made the stems from clay..

I added a fun eyeball to the flowers on the back of my chair...I want to see how many people notice...hee hee
I feel a dinner party coming on....
O,k   so I was just having some fun here for Halloween...I am not into them creepy eyeballs, so I made me some pretty ones with some Sharpies and BIG pearls I got from Joanne fabrics....

Silver Metallic Painted Furniture

I have to admit...my French country gray chalk paint furniture is looking a bit drab lately...

I am thinking of going shiny...here are some inspiration photos I gathered from Pinterest.

Now to spray paint or silver leaf...that is the question...
