God is like our apron. He protects us and keeps us out of the “heat” when we give our hearts to Him. He wipes our tears away and he provides a hiding place for us within His strong embrace. He carries us when we are weak. He dusts us off and readies us for the eternal life that He planned for us from the very beginning. Like the apron, it can only protect the garment underneath if we are willing to wear it. It won’t do any good if it is hanging on the hook. We MUST pick it up, put it on, tie it tight and USE IT! We must have willing hearts, and open arms that welcome God’s embrace and His divine protection.
